A fourteen-day international workshop on Yoga, Tantra–Āgama, and Vedānta was organised by the Oxford Sanskrit Text Society (OSTS) in collaboration with the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR). The programme was hosted with institutional support from, and held at the premises of, the Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy (JIVA), Hyderabad, India.
The workshop was formally inaugurated by His Holiness Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, a distinguished spiritual and humanitarian leader of the Śrī Rāmānuja philosophical tradition. The inaugural session was presided over by Professor Diwakar Acharya, Founder Trustee of the Oxford Sanskrit Text Society and Spalding Professor of Eastern Religion and Ethics at the University of Oxford. The Chief Guest of the programme was Professor Srinivasa Varkhedi, Vice-Chancellor of the Central Sanskrit University.
Focusing on the Yoga and Vedānta traditions, with particular attention to their textual, philosophical, and ritual dimensions, the workshop brought together national and international teachers, scholars, and students. Through lectures, textual readings, and scholarly discussions, the programme facilitated sustained academic engagement with classical Sanskrit sources and living intellectual traditions, fostering dialogue between traditional learning and contemporary scholarship.
