Sabhā : Lectures, Conversations and Performances

Sabhā (Assembly) is conceived as a continuing forum for public and scholarly engagement, dedicated to the exploration and appreciation of the cultural, intellectual, and performative traditions of South Asia, with particular attention to Classical Sanskrit texts.

It will host lectures, panel discussions, guided textual readings, recitations, and performances, offering multiple modes of engagement with Sanskrit knowledge systems. Organised primarily in Oxford and, where appropriate, in collaboration with partner institutions in the United Kingdom and India, Sabhā seeks to foster sustained dialogue among scholars, students, practitioners, and a wider interested public, encouraging exchange across disciplinary, institutional, and cultural boundaries.
